Our client is an established consumer goods manufacturer located in Selangor. Currently, they are looking for a Chief Engineer to ensure adherence to HSSE, Food Safety, Quality, and legal standards, optimize departmental operations, drive continuous improvement through KPIs/KAIs, manage Opex/Capex/COGS, and lead the development and succession planning of teams while aligning strategies with company goals and global standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead by example and ensure high-quality work from indirect employees.
• Implement HR policies and manage union agreements on-site.
• Develop teams and align skills with business needs.
• Ensure performance management processes, including appraisals, are followed.
• Engage with teams on the shop floor for feedback and coaching.

• Ensure compliance with HSSE, food safety, hygiene, and ISO standards.
• Oversee effective PMS, meetings, and reporting systems.
• Promote adherence to Maintenance/OT/CAPEX/Facility standards and training.
• Resolve performance gaps using structured problem-solving methods.
• Contribute to site strategy and lead Long-Term Development Plans (LTDP).
• Identify and prepare capital projects to improve efficiency and profitability.

• Prioritize key focus areas (Maintenance/OT/CAPEX/Facility).
• Manage OPEX and support CAPEX budget planning.
• Review work practices to improve cost and performance.
• Analyze utility consumption and set improvement plans.
• Set and manage departmental KPIs in line with Group goals.
• Lead or support improvement projects and share best practices.

• Allocate resources to key initiatives and ensure maintenance compliance.
• Use machine reliability measures (MTBF/MTTR) for maintenance planning.
• Ensure teams meet utilities consumption improvement targets.
• Manage Maintenance/OT/CAPEX/Facility KPIs effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Group standards and drive operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Technical subjects.
• More than ten (10) years of experience in a production environment, with at least five (5) years in middle/senior management.
• Proven experience in developing people, managing budgets, and delivering results.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage both direct and indirect teams.
• Experience in implementing Group and Country HR policies and managing union/workers' agreements.
• Knowledge of HSSE, food safety, environmental compliance, and ISO standards.
• Strong process management skills, including maintenance, CAPEX, and performance management.
• Experience in budget management, performance tracking, and operational improvements.
• Familiarity with maintenance/OT/CAPEX/Facility KPIs and reliability measures (e.g., MTBF, OEE, etc.).
• Ability to drive and implement capital projects to improve operational efficiency.

Job Description

Our client is an established consumer goods manufacturer. Currently, they are looking for a Management Accountant handle timely and accurate financial reporting, prepare group consolidation financial reports and analysis of financial and operational performance including trends and variances.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes.
• Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting, not limited to management reports, budget, financial projection/estimates and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare group consolidation financial reports including notes to accounts disclosure and quarterly related party transaction report.
• Prepare analysis of financial and operational performance including trends and variances.
• To advice stakeholders on reporting related matters (eg: GL account, cost center allocation, accounting treatments and etc).
• Assist Group Accountant in preparing presentation slides & paper for Audit Committee & Board of Directors meetings and group reporting requirements.
• Prepare audited financial statement reports for Company and its subsidiaries.
• Conduct stock count activities and assist in fixed assets sighting in collaboration with stakeholders
• Furnish information to stakeholders, regulatory authorities, external auditors for annual audit, tax consultants/manager for tax filing and/or any authorised parties.
• Implement and maintain internal controls over the Company and its subsidiaries’ accounting and financial procedures.
• Conduct verification, perform self-assessment and main liaison on overall Control Framework over Financial
• Reporting (CFFR) updates and queries to drive compliance to CFFR.
• Identify and drive accounting and finance process efficiencies and support on process improvements changes projects. 

Requirements:

• A university degree/professional qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or any other recognised professional body in Malaysia.
• Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance related discipline.
• Experience in financial audit and forecasting is an added advantage.
• Excellent command of written and verbal English.
• Sound knowledge and solid understanding of accounting principles, finance procedures and international financial reporting standards.
• Relevant experience in handling Bursa reporting is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Excel for analysis. Good understanding and knowledge of SAP processes is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical, organised and has a keen eye for details.
•  Good team player, positive attitude and able to work under tight deadlines.

• Provide financial analyses, advice and opinions for assessment of risks, efficiency and on financial policies or policy decision impacting the financial well being of the company and its subsidiaries.
• Provide support to HR on annual budget exercise and quarterly estimate, and review analysis of financial and operation prepared by Payroll team.
• Coordinate the provision of information to regulatory authorities, internal & external auditor, and/ or any parties authorities to examine the accounting record.
• Hire, manage, develop team in all aspects of finance and accounting.

Requirement 

• Min 7 years accounting experience in progressively growing capacity.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and strong in Group financial consolidation. 
• Degree/ professional qualification in Accounting of Finance.
• Understanding of the regulations and reporting requirements of a public listed company. 
• Good understanding and knowledge of SAP processes.
