Our client is a leading player in data center projects, delivering large-scale, mission-critical facilities. They are currently looking for a Data Center Team Lead to lead end-to-end mechanical commissioning and M&E coordination for a major data center project.
Job Description:
• Carry out as Commissioning Team (CxT) Consultant & Team Lead roles.
• Lead the commissioning process from pre-commissioning through to final handover.
• Develop, manage and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
• Oversee the testing of systems and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory standards, and project requirements.
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that designs meet operational requirements.
• Review project documentation (drawings, specifications, manuals) to ensure accuracy and completeness before commissioning.
• Provide leadership and training to commissioning teams and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare and present commissioning reports, and maintain up-to-date records on commissioning progress and issues.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns related to commissioning.
• Ensure that all commissioning activities are carried out in line with quality management procedures and best practices.
• Conduct post-commissioning evaluations to identify opportunities for improvements and lessons learned.
Requirements:
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction projects, preferably in mechanical systems commissioning.
• Proven experience as a senior construction / commissioning leader on large-scale projects.
• Strong background in M&E systems (HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, chilled water, gen-set, fuel system, electrical distribution, BMS)
• Hands-on experience in planning, executing, and managing commissioning activities end-to-end.
• Willing to be based on site and travel as required by project or company needs.
