About the Role

We are looking for an Intervention & Resolution Analyst to support end-to-end intervention and resolution activities within a financial services environment. The role covers risk assessment, resolution planning, resolvability, early intervention, and failure resolution, while working closely with financial institutions, regulators, government bodies, and other key stakeholders.

This is a strategic and analytical opportunity for professionals with experience in banking, financial services, restructuring, insolvency, corporate finance, audit, or financial advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessment and monitoring of financial institutions, including review of risk ratings.

  • Develop and implement resolution plans, strategies, controls, and operational processes for managing failing institutions.

  • Conduct resolvability reviews and assessments and support resolution readiness activities.

  • Carry out early intervention and failure resolution activities, including least-cost assessments.

  • Develop, review, and advise on resolution policies and related initiatives.

  • Coordinate with consultants, professionals, agents, and external stakeholders to support effective intervention and resolution activities.

  • Engage with financial institutions, regulators, government bodies, industry associations, and relevant local and international authorities.

  • Support cross-functional projects and workstreams related to intervention and resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; professional accounting/finance qualifications are also accepted.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as:

    • Accounting / Audit

    • Restructuring / Insolvency / Recovery

    • Non-performing assets

    • Financial Modelling

    • Corporate Finance

    • M&A / Due Diligence

    • Transaction Services

  • Experience in financial institutions, prudential supervision, or regulatory environments would be an advantage.

  • Good understanding of banking and insurance, including financial markets, banking operations, regulatory compliance, and Islamic finance.

  • Knowledge of financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence.

  • Good understanding of banking regulatory practices and requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience managing large, cross-functional projects involving multiple teams or organisations.

  • Open to Malaysian citizens only.
