About the Role
Our client, a solar energy company, is looking for a Design Manager to lead the design and engineering function for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering for C&I rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects.
• Manage and develop a team of designers and drafters.
• Oversee technical design from project inception through completion.
• Ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
• Drive process improvements, technical capability and departmental efficiency.
• Collaborate with project, commercial and other internal teams.
• Support technical problem-solving, cost optimisation and project performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 8+ years of solar PV design/engineering experience, particularly C&I projects.
• Proven experience in a design/engineering leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical engineering and industry standards.
• Experience with rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar projects.
• SEDA GCPV/OGPV or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Site, testing & commissioning and SCADA experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
