Job Summary

Our client is a global logistics company seeking an experienced HR Manager to partner closely with leadership on regional HR strategy, workforce transformation, and compliance excellence. The HR Manager will be responsible for executing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and statutory requirements across assigned Southeast Asia markets, and supporting organizational effectiveness for a logistics and supply chain organization. This role plays a critical part in strengthening HR governance, supporting workforce transformation, and enabling operational excellence across multiple countries, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Country Head of HR to implement country and regional HR strategies aligned with global direction.
  • Support ongoing global organizational structure reviews by providing workforce insights, data analysis, and change management support across assigned markets.
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to business and operations leaders in a fast paced logistics environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and statutory requirements across assigned countries, working closely with local stakeholders and external advisors where required.
  • Oversee and standardize core HR processes across markets, including onboarding, contract management, disciplinary actions, and employee exits.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on policies, practices, and operations.
  • Coordinate and support labor, ethical, and social compliance audits common within logistics and operational environments.
  • Partner with site and operations leaders to manage audit preparation, findings, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain ongoing audit readiness through consistent documentation and compliance controls.
  • Lead country and regional HRMS implementation, stabilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting integrity across markets.
  • Act as the primary HRMS liaison with regional HR teams and system vendors.
  • Manage selected talent acquisition activities internally across assigned countries, particularly for critical operational and professional roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support workforce planning, recruitment effectiveness, and talent pipeline development.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters across markets, including grievances, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Support engagement and culture initiatives while respecting local legal and cultural nuances.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, including multi country or regional HR responsibilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and statutory compliance in Southeast Asia.
  • Proven experience supporting labor and social compliance audits in operational or logistics environments.
  • Hands on experience implementing or managing HRMS platforms.
  • Ability to operate independently as an individual contributor in a matrix and evolving organization.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and stakeholder management capability.
