Key Responsibilities

  • Lead system board architecture, schematic design, and technical decision-making.

  • Drive component selection and design optimisation to meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements.

  • Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance through simulation and testing.

  • Lead board bring-up, root cause analysis, and system-level debugging using laboratory instruments.

  • Define test strategies and validate hardware for functionality, reliability, and environmental requirements.

  • Prepare and review schematics, BOMs, layout constraints, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Collaborate with PCB layout, SoC, firmware, packaging, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

  • Perform hardware rework and component modifications.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing vendors for prototyping and production.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in complex PCB or system board design.

  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro, Altium, OrCAD, or similar design tools.

  • Strong knowledge of high-speed interfaces, including DDR, PCIe, USB, and Ethernet.

  • Experience in signal/power integrity analysis and tools such as HyperLynx or Sigrity.

  • Hands-on experience in board bring-up, laboratory validation, and production ramp-up.

  • Knowledge of DFM/DFT, EMI/EMC, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, PMICs, custom ASICs, or AI/ML accelerators.

  • Knowledge of thermal design, power supply design, or embedded firmware.

  • Experience in industrial, networking, data centre, automotive, or medical hardware.

  • Previous technical or project leadership experience.
