Proposal Engineer

Our client is a leading global telecommunications infrastructure provider company. Currently they are looking for a passionate professional to join them as the Proposal Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing proposals in response to RFQs and ensuring prompt communication with customers for clarifications.
• Analyze RFQ requirements and coordinate responses with stakeholders, including vendors, to gather accurate information on scope, pricing, compliance, and qualifications.
• Conduct costing and pricing analysis.
• Support the entire process from RFQ to contract signing, ensuring key aspects are reflected in final contracts and noting any deviations for immediate action.
• Prepare all necessary documentation for proposals.
• Document assumptions, pricing history, and proposal versions for record-keeping and compliance.
• Stay updated on the latest commercial and technical developments.
• Monitor market rates on key pricing factors and provide insights to management.
• Assist with any other tasks essential for the successful delivery of proposals and contracts to customers.

Job requirements

• Minimum Diploma or higher in Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in EPCIC / Subsea Projects or Oil & Gas sector.
• Must be comfortable in client-facing situations, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Strong presentation skills are crucial for effectively conveying ideas and information to clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.

Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

Our client is an established provider of consulting and commissioning engineering services for the Data Center sector. Currently they are looking for a passionate professional to join them as the Electrical Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and other disciplines to develop and refine electrical and mechanical designs for data centers (DC), from basis of design (BOD) to issue for construction (IFC).
• Ensure designs meet client quality standards and Uptime Institute Tiering requirements.
• Provide technical advice on DC MEP designs and commissioning services.
• Conduct engineering audits and design reviews to ensure maintainability and fault tolerance.
• Lead commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Testing, Pre-Start-Up Testing, Performance Testing, Functional Testing, and Integrated Systems Testing.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, programs, test scripts, and method statements.
• Review contractor method statements and manufacturer test scripts.
• Produce weekly and monthly commissioning progress reports.
• Travel to sites for reviews and collaborate with onsite field engineers.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Center engineering design or Data Center commissioning.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems for data centers (DC) or relevant M&E design.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems for DC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Mandarin language skills preferred for effective communication with manufacturers in China.
