Regional Commercial Administration Finance Supervisor

 

The Regional Commercial Administration Finance Supervisor is a pivotal role within the Commercial Finance team, based in the new Commercial Administration Centre of Expertise (COE) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position is responsible for overseeing the commercial administrative finance operations for the AP region, ensuring alignment with division goals and metrics to achieve results. The role also involves acting as a liaison between the division, Global Business Services (GBS), and regional markets. As an SAP system expert, the supervisor will manage key COE processes related to rebate and contract management. Building strong partnerships with each division is essential to ensure operational consistency, process improvements, and the implementation of best practices throughout the AP region.

The role includes significant people management responsibilities, with direct oversight of three reports and a growing team anticipated over the next two years. It also requires extensive interaction and influence with key business partners at local, regional, and global levels. Additionally, this position plays a crucial role in promoting consistency and standardization in analytics and commercial practices across the AP Region.

 

Role Overview:

  • Position: Supervisor for Commercial Administration Finance, focusing on rebate and contract management in the AP region.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Process Design and Implementation: Develop and execute new processes related to rebate and contract management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Operational Leadership: Oversee the commercial administration finance function, ensuring smooth operations and strategic alignment within the AP region.
    • Talent Development: Foster the growth of the finance team through performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and training on best practices.
    • Operational Consistency and Improvement: Collaborate with various divisions to standardize processes, drive continuous improvement, and implement best practices across the region.
    • Liaison Role: Serve as the intermediary between Global Division Finance and International Markets, managing communication on finance strategies, priorities, policies, and best practices.
    • Performance Enhancement: Focus on improving overall operational performance within the commercial finance function.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of finance experience, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Proven track record as a finance business partner with expertise in commercial finance aspects such as customer analysis, rebate management, pricing strategies, and gross margin analysis.
    • Hands-on experience with SAP and managing large datasets.
    • Ability to build and analyze reports using PowerBI or similar analytical tools.
