Our client is an FMCG firm. They are looking for a passionate professional to join them as the Assistant Warehouse Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the receipt and storage of finished products in external warehouse facilities, ensuring documentation and inventory records are accurate.
  • Oversee efficient utilization of warehouse space, implement proper stock rotation strategies, and ensure inventory levels are consistently replenished.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Drive improvements in warehouse procedures to boost operational efficiency and minimize operational costs.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure orders are processed and dispatched in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining high service standards.
  • Optimize scheduling and loading operations to minimize delays and maximize throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Distribution, Sales, and Quality) to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Define and monitor key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment times, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Utilize technology (e.g., SAP, WMS) to automate and streamline warehouse operations for greater efficiency.
  • Work closely with various internal teams to ensure seamless coordination between warehouse operations and other business functions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to warehouse staff to improve operational performance and morale.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and adherence to best practices.

 

Job Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of external warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software like SAP is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with bonded goods handling will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and drive performance improvements.
