Our client is an FMCG firm. They are looking for a passionate professional to join them as the Distribution Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily flow of distribution activities to guarantee prompt and efficient delivery of goods across all markets.
  • Optimize delivery schedules to enhance cost-efficiency while meeting customer expectations for speed and reliability.
  • Supervise external transportation providers to ensure they meet performance targets and cost-effectiveness, while adhering to agreed-upon service standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing customer concerns and resolving any distribution-related issues.
  • Resolve logistical challenges related to customs processes, clearance issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all distribution activities comply with both company policies and applicable legal or industry regulations.
  • Oversee tasks related to import/export documentation, including managing duties, taxes, and customs requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to improve inventory turnover and minimize surplus or outdated stock.
  • Collaborate with both internal departments and external parties to ensure the proper handling of duty payments, tax filings, and other financial logistics.
  • Review and validate invoices from service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Provide support for financial operations, including processing payments related to vendors and duties.
  • Optimize the use of warehouse space in line with operational schedules and cost targets.
  • Contribute to the generation of monthly performance reports for the leadership team.
  • Assist with maintaining workflow continuity during busy periods or when team members are absent.

 

Job Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on improving efficiency and resolving complex issues.
  • Familiarity with customs procedures and regulations is beneficial.
  • Experience with SAP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • A track record of managing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment, balancing cost control with high service standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
