About the Company
Our client is a well-established organization within the FMCG industry, acting as a regional hub for its Asia business. The company leads strategic and commercial operations across the region, supplying a portfolio of locally manufactured and marketed food brands in addition to several renowned regional consumer brands.
Job Responsibilities
- Full ownership and accountability of one core product category, collaborating closely with and reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Lead the implementation of marketing plans (ATL & BTL), aligning closely with commercial teams to ensure initiatives are consistent with brand vision, strategic direction, and overall business objectives.
- Drive innovation and lead cross-functional collaboration to maintain brand consistency across all touch points, including media planning, go-to-market strategy, POSM development, packaging design, and in-store activation.
- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Insight, Trade Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Supply Chain to deliver result-driven strategies informed by data and subject matter expertise.
- Manage and influence deliverables with agencies and external partners to ensure value- added execution and timely results.
- Understand category P&L and seek cost-efficiency opportunities within strategies and tactical plans.
- Accountable for A&P budget for the product segment, including price margin analysis, demand forecasting, and spend optimization.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the FMCG sector, ideally with exposure to food-related categories. Experience across marketing, trade marketing, and/or sales willbe advantageous.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles, sales channels, and category/product knowledge.
- Experience managing mass-market consumer categories is a plus.
- Strong capabilities in project and product development management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with commercial and technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with media channels and digital platforms, with awareness of evolving trends.
- Results-oriented, agile, independent, and demonstrates strong leadership qualities.
- Team player with a positive and open-minded attitude.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
