Job Description

Our client is one of the top global one-stop telecommunications infrastructure company. In order to support the company’s rapid and aggressive growth, our client is seeking a young and dynamic Regulatory Liaisons Specialist.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing cross-border permitting projects within the APAC region to facilitate the smooth execution of cable and engineering initiatives whilst building relationships with local authorities and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless processes in compliance with local and international regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and streamline operations for divisional licensing and permitting activities, encompassing application acceptance, review and approval workflows, license and permit issuance, productivity monitoring, and fiscal reporting.
  • Manage and oversee the processing of applications for various licenses and permits, ensuring adherence to local and international marine and onshore legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on the approval workflow of license and permit applications to guarantee timely processing and issuance.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with official agencies and partners globally to expand our network.
  • Prepare regular communications and reports to keep management and clients informed about operational progress and application approval timelines.
  • Ensure that issues and concerns are evaluated, investigated, and resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders regarding licensing and permitting issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with site requirements.
  • Travel as necessary to support permitting activities throughout the APAC region.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
  • Experience in licensing and permitting would be advantageous
  • Experience managing cross-border projects in the APAC region.
  • Knowledge of local and international marine and onshore laws.
  • Willingness to travel for permitting activities in the APAC region.
  • Ability to build relationships with government agencies and industry partners.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and legal compliance.
