We are partnering with a leading and fast-growing food retail brand to appoint a commercially driven and creatively strong Head of Marketing to lead the next phase of brand and business growth.

 

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of consumer insight, commercial performance, brand storytelling, retail activation, and digital customer engagement. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end marketing strategy across brand, product innovation, promotions, customer lifecycle, retail channels, and digital touchpoints — while managing and inspiring a sizable marketing team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Commercial Growth

  • Lead the overall marketing agenda across brand, product innovation, promotions, pricing, and customer growth.
  • Drive commercially effective campaigns that unlock demand and accelerate revenue growth across stores and ordering platforms.
  • Develop and execute pricing and promotional strategies grounded in consumer behavior and commercial analytics.
  • Own product portfolio strategy, including role matrix management by channel, segment, profitability, and strategic priorities.
  • Partner closely with operations, finance, product, and commercial teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.

 

Consumer Insights, Segmentation & Proposition Development

  • Lead consumer and market insight initiatives to identify growth opportunities, whitespace, and evolving customer behaviors.
  • Build clear customer segmentation and value propositions that support long-term brand growth.
  • Translate strategic insights into practical execution tactics that drive immediate commercial impact.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competition, and retail dynamics to sharpen brand competitiveness.

 

Brand Building & Creative Communications

  • Steward and evolve the brand identity, positioning, and overall brand world.
  • Lead integrated brand and campaign development across ATL, BTL, digital, CRM, social, retail, and media channels.
  • Manage and collaborate with creative, media, and strategic agency partners to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant work.
  • Drive innovative and culturally in-tune campaigns that strengthen brand love and customer engagement.
  • Ensure creative excellence while balancing speed, agility, and commercial effectiveness.

 

Retail, Channel & Platform Marketing

  • Develop marketing strategies across physical stores, third-party platforms, and owned digital channels.
  • Drive local retail activations and channel-specific growth initiatives.
  • Stay closely connected to on-ground retail dynamics and customer experiences to identify tactical opportunities.

 

Digital & Customer Experience

  • Lead customer engagement strategies across owned digital platforms and customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with digital and technology teams to strengthen digital ecosystem capabilities and customer journeys.
  • Improve customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and lifetime value through data-informed marketing initiatives.

 

Loyalty & Customer Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and optimize loyalty, rewards, and CRM strategies to strengthen customer retention and frequency.
  • Build lifecycle marketing programs that improve repeat purchase behavior and deepen customer relationships.

 

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a sizable marketing organization.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, agile, and growth-oriented culture.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Champion creativity, resilience, empathy, and accountability across the team.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within food retail, FMCG, consumer, hospitality, retail, or highly consumer-centric industries.
  • Strong exposure to consumer-led portfolio and brand management within complex, fast-moving businesses.
  • Proven experience managing strong consumer brands and driving sustained brand growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in pricing, promotions, product strategy, and performance analytics.
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing communications, brand building, and retail activation.
  • Experience working with leading creative and media agencies.
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, customer journeys, CRM, and loyalty programs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial instincts and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Culturally aware, trend-sensitive, and highly attuned to evolving consumer behavior.
  • Agile, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities with the maturity and presence to lead large cross-functional teams.
