Job Description
Our client is a manufacturing company seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support regional and factory engineering projects, covering end-to-end project execution from design review through installation, commissioning, and handover.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support regional and factory engineering projects and upgrade initiatives
- Conduct technical and operational evaluations, identify gaps, and propose effective engineering solutions
- Manage project costing, budgeting, specifications, vendor negotiations, and technical evaluations
- Develop and maintain project timelines, risk assessments, and contingency plans
- Oversee vendor activities including design review, fabrication monitoring, FAT, installation, testing, commissioning, and SAT
- Conduct engineering calculations to support design decisions and ensure compliance with standards and regulations
- Perform research on materials and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, electrical, and maintenance) for project execution
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks) for design, modification, and documentation
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required
- Support installation, operation, maintenance, and repair strategies for facilities and equipment
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are properly executed
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with SHE requirements, engineering standards, and internal procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, manuals, training materials, and troubleshooting guides
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management
- Collaborate with regional, international, and site-based stakeholders
- Frequent interaction with vendors and external partners
- Willingness to travel for regional and overseas assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
- Strong experience in engineering projects, utilities, and maintenance systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal English)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
