Summary
We are partnering with an established Australian accounting and advisory firm to hire a Practice Manager for its growing Malaysia office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations or practice management professional to lead a high-performing team while serving as the key liaison between the Malaysia office and the Australian headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Malaysia office, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Malaysia office and the Australian headquarters to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- Ensure accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance processes are carried out accurately and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational performance.
- Oversee office administration, document management, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support Australian client business registrations, tax registrations, and other compliance-related matters.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support business growth across the Malaysia office.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Practice Manager, Operations Manager, Office Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment and people management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
