Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies for food ingredients and raw materials.
  • Identify and develop new customers across food manufacturers, central kitchens, confectionery, protein-related and other F&B businesses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, principals, suppliers and distributors.
  • Identify new market opportunities and propose potential products or solutions based on customer and market needs.
  • Understand customers' technical and commercial requirements and recommend suitable products.
  • Work closely with principals and suppliers to understand product applications, technical specifications and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, customer needs and competitor activities.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and sales presentations, and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and product introduction through to closing and account development.
  • Participate in relevant exhibitions, industry events, customer meetings and business activities.

 

Requirements

  • Approximately 4–5 years of relevant sales and business development experience.
  • Experience within one or more of the following industries is preferred: Food ingredients, Food manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Protein / Nutrition, Food-related raw materials
  • Strong track record in B2B sales and business development.
  • Relevant technical or scientific educational background, such as: Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology
  • Able to understand technical products and translate technical information into commercial opportunities.
  • Experience working with principals, suppliers, distributors or manufacturers will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a newly developed market.
  • Willing to travel overseas approximately once a month.
  • Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred due to business communication and external engagement requirements.
