Our client is a global leading livestock solution manufacturer specialized in equipment and system for modern farms located in Selangor. Currently, they are looking for a Procurement Engineer to manage their procurement activities to ensure they continue to produce good quality products to assist clients in optimizing their farm efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support company’s objectives for quality, cost, and delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for materials and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct supplier performance evaluations.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, in all procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance metrics.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management on procurement activities and performance metrics.

Job Requirements

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, RFQ/RFP, contract management, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
