Our client specialises in providing innovative solutions for livestock, poultry, and swine farming.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage part and component sourcing, supplier selection, and supplier management to ensure competitive cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on lead times, costs, and quality to maximize company benefits.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance during the contract term, including conducting performance evaluations, updating supplier performance records, and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Collect and analyze market data to support purchasing decisions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for localization projects.
  • Assist the engineering team with cost analysis for new product development.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, the engineering team, and the BDI technical department in new product development, qualification, transition, and production trial runs.
  • Perform technical inspections on new samples from local suppliers when necessary.
  • Provide technical support for local production, including setting up new production lines, maintaining plant equipment, and sourcing spare parts.
  • Follow purchasing guidelines from HQ.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers aligned with the company’s needs and business nature.
    • Ensure compliance with commercial, legal, and contractual requirements in all procurement transactions.

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical / Automation Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in sourcing or procurement, particularly in sheet metal parts, wire mesh products, and plastic parts.
  • Proficient in cost estimation for parts and tooling.
  • Strong team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly in supply chain management.
  • Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for sheet metal parts, wire mesh production, plastic injection molding, and electrical control panels (enclosures) is an advantage.
  • Experience in sourcing raw materials (steel coil, wire rod, plastic resin) and monitoring price and stock movements is a plus.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control is an added advantage.
