Our client is a well-known convenience retail chain. In order to support rapid and aggressive expansion, our client is looking for a talented and dynamic professional to join them as the GM, Supply Chain.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing the entire supply chain function, including inventory planning, demand forecasting, warehouse management, transportation, and logistics.
- Ensuring efficient operations of ambient and chilled warehouses, optimizing floor space utilization, and adhering to targeted cost structures and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring strict compliance with OSHA requirements across all warehouse operations.
- Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, transporters, contractors, and warehousing service providers.
- Planning and executing human resource initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement, and talent management.
- Supervising warehouse employee productivity to maintain optimal performance levels.
- Establishing and managing annual budgets, controlling operating costs, and monitoring inventory holding to meet targeted demand.
- Collaborating with merchandising and QA teams to manage chilled food logistics effectively.
- Overseeing departmental KPIs, performance tracking, and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of supply chain experience in a sizable organization, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
- Preferably from the FMCG or related industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels and execute tasks with high integrity.
- Demonstrated track record of managing sizable warehouse floor space.
- Proven leadership and change management abilities.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), and other warehouse and inventory applications.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, time-demanding environments when necessary.
