About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Platform & Governance to lead the organisation’s enterprise data platform, data architecture and governance strategy. This role will build a strong, secure and scalable data foundation to support business intelligence, analytics, AI and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise data platform, architecture and data engineering strategy.

• Oversee data integration, pipelines, master data management and data quality.

• Establish data governance frameworks, standards, privacy controls and regulatory compliance.

• Build and maintain data capabilities to support analytics, AI and machine learning initiatives.

• Manage platform performance, security, costs and external technology partners.

• Lead and develop teams across data engineering, architecture, governance and quality.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align data initiatives with business objectives.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.

• Extensive experience in enterprise data platforms, data engineering, architecture or data management.

• Proven experience leading data teams and implementing enterprise data platforms.

• Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, data integration, data governance, data quality and master data management.

• Understanding of data privacy, regulatory compliance and AI governance.

• Experience supporting analytics or AI initiatives in production environments.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, telecommunications, financial services or other consumer-facing industries is an advantage.

• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
