Our client is a renowned brand in the luxury retail industry, seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee daily operations at their jewellery store. The role involves driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. As Store Manager, you will lead and inspire your team, manage inventory, and ensure a premium shopping experience for customers.

 

Job Description

  1. Store Operations
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations in compliance with company SOPs.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, display standards, and visual merchandising according to brand guidelines.
  • Report to and assist the Area Manager in managing day-to-day retail operations of the assigned branches.
  • Oversee proper maintenance of accounts, cash flow, and sales records by cashiers.
  • Enforce internal control procedures to reduce stock/monetary leakage.
  • Improve and enforce SOPs to enhance the effectiveness and profitability of operations.
  • Ensure all branch staff carry out their duties and responsibilities as outlined in the branch operation.
  • Undertake other responsibilities assigned by branch management as required.

 

  1. Team Management
  • Recruit, train, and develop store staff to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, monitor staff performance, and provide coaching.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the retail outlet.
  • Foster a “teamwork” culture within the retail outlet and the organization, instilling commitment and ownership in the team.
  • Guide and train the retail outlet on processes, procedures, and business activities according to SOPs.
  • Plan and manage day-to-day operations, including preparing monthly duty rosters and daily work schedules.
  • Address and follow up on issues encountered by staff.
  • Ensure staff adhere to job responsibilities and company policies and procedures.

 

  1. Financial Management/Sales Strategies
  • Ensure sales turnover and gross profit margins meet or exceed company objectives.
  • Assist in setting annual and monthly sales targets for the retail outlet.
  • Manage retail outlet expenses within the allocated budget.
  • Track monthly inventory value according to assigned targets.
  • Expedite all necessary monthly Branch Reports for submission to superiors.

 

  1. Customer Service
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently according to company policies, ensuring the same issues do not arise in the future.
  • Ensure staff provide excellent customer service to all customers at all levels.
  • Improve merchandise displays, window displays, and service facilities based on customer feedback.

 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in retail management, preferably in jewellery, luxury fashion, or high-end retail.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of jewellery, diamonds, and precious metals is an advantage.
  • Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
